If You Are An Affiliate Marketer & You Aren’t Using EBAY To Grab Customers You Are Missing Out On BOATLOADS Of New Prospects
“Now I see that eBay is the cheapest source of customers on the Internet!” vows amazed Auction Leads Machine© student.
What Do YOU Think About eBay?
If you’re like most folks, you think it’s just a giant garage sale or flea market. (Isn’t that the place where they sell those Beanie Babies?)
But the truth is that ANY affiliate marketer is losing profits if they’re not using eBay!
9 Reasons Why You Desperately
Need eBay For Your Affiliate Business
HUMONGOUS Amounts Of Traffic
eBay has approximately 233 million registered accounts
In the second quarter of 2007, eBay’s revenues were $1.83 billion, a 26% growth over the same quarter in 2006
eBay expects their 2007 revenue to be an astounding $7.3-$7.45 billion
Approximately 6.5 million listings are added evert day
$28 million in an eight hour day
80,000 new shoppers every day
REASON #2: eBay is much CHEAPER than Pay
Per Clicks (or almost any other advertising)
You can list a product on eBay for as little as $.20. Talk about low risk! In fact, if you listed a $1,000,000 item it would only cost you a grand total of … $4.80! We’d like to prove this with a comparison between Google Adwords and eBay.
REASON #3: All keywords cost the same on eBay
When we looked at the Google AdWords cost above we see:
Alaska fly fishing = $28.80
fly fishing knots = $2.75
You really, really have to be careful – and extremely successful – if you’re paying $28.80 for a single keyword click!
But on eBay:
fly fishing = $.20
fly fishing flies = $.20
fly fishing rods = $.20
$fly fishing reel = $.20
fly fishing gear = $.20
fly fishing equipment = $.20
fly fishing guide = $.20
saltwater fly fishing = $.20
fly fishing knots = $.20
fly fishing trip = $.20
fly fishing vacation = $.20
fly fishing waders = $.20
alaska fly fishing = $.20
montana fly fishing = $.20
REASON #4: eBay is much easier
to manage tham Pay Per Clicks
In a recent seminar, Sydney observed that between each session, hordes of attendees hastily opened their laptops to check on their AdWords campaigns, to ensure they weren’t over-spending. And that didn’t include the ones who had turned off their campaigns for the duration of the seminar!
With eBay that’s not true! Using an inexpensive service, you can put your campaigns on AUTOPILOT can completely forget about them! You can:
* Automatically list your auctions
* Once they’ve been sold, they will re-list within minutes
* Collect your money
* Have the buyer’s name and real contact information entered into your email system (no fake or throw-away information here)
* Have the merchandise sent to the buyer
And once your campaign is set up, you don’t do a thing!
In fact, you don’t even know about it {unless you want
to savor your growing list of affiliate customers}

REASON #5: eBay is CERTAIN
– unlike organic search
We’ve played the SEO (search engine optimization) game ourselves and we know how it works. You can spend a huge amount of time and money trying to get a high SE position and this is what happens:
THE SEARCH ENGINE GAME
1. Perhaps you get some high SE position – but usually only for some of your keywords, but not all
2. The whole effort is an expensive and miserable failure
3. You get some great SE positions … and then Google changes their algorithm and you’re once again a resident of Nowheresville
Plus, it can take a long, long time, right?
THE EBAY GAME
You pay your $.20 – and in a few minutes you’re listed on eBay.

REASON #6: Your prospects are
more likely to turn into buyers
An eBay buyer has to go to a lot of trouble to buy from you – unlike some who casually & accidentally stumbles on a Google ad, for instance.
REASON #7: You have virtually no competition
FACT: 99 % of eBay Sellers Are Working For eBay!
eBay Live 2006: Meg Whitman (eBay’s CEO) announces that
eBay just registered account # 200,000,000
(Cheers. Applause.)
eBay Live 2006: Meg Whitman also announces that 1,200,000
people are making a full or part time living on eBay
(More cheers & applause.)
But, Meg, that’s only a little bit over 1/2 of 1%!
That means that 99 % are FAILING!
WHY?
Because they don’t have a clue about what they’re doing!
REASON #8: You are not competing
in the bargain-crazed eBay market
The picture below demonstrates how to take yourself out of this fiercely competitive, bargain-mentality eBay market.
The two sellers above each sold some golf balls – and one is stressed and worred, whereas the other one is clearly pleased with himself and his results? Why such different attitudes?
First, let’s figure out how much money they made. Checking eBay, we can clearly see that there isn’t a lot of profit in golf ball sales. Here are some current BIN eBay auctions:
* 36 AAAA Titleist NXT Used Golf Balls: $16.00 ($.44/ball)
* 36 AAA Titleist NXT Golf Balls: $12.00 ($.33/ball)
* 72 AAA Titleist NXT Golf Balls: $18.00 ($25/ball)
Looking at my wholesale sources, I see that a box of Titleist golf balls ranges from $11-$14.50, depending on grade and number. So, clearly, there is very little profit in golf ball sales. For the purposes of this article, let’s assume that each seller made $2 in profit on their sales.
SELLER A: is really worried. She has a mortgage, car payment and a kid starting college next year. She needs an income of at least $5,000/month. At only $2 in profit, she is going to need 2,500 sales every month. Today, there are 5995 items listed under a search for ‘golf balls’ so we know that competition is stiff.
Also, we know that eBay buyers are price-oriented and since golf balls are a standard item, there’s no reason to favor one seller over another based on anything but price, price, price. This drives the price DOWN and eliminates any sort of buyer loyalty.
So what are the odds that she’ll sell 2,500 golf ball packages every month? Right. Pretty low.
SELLER B: He is in the exact same situation as Seller A. He doesn’t have any “secret suppliers” or any advantage that she doesn’t have. His expenses are just as urgent as hers. Yet, he’s smiling and cheerful and he sucks on his lollipop. The question is …
WHY?
The reason is because success on eBay is all about …
The BACK END!
And that is EXACTLY what the Auction Leads Machine© classes teach you how to do.
REASON #9: You can stay under the radar
so no one will know what you’re doing
If you are successful on “traditional” eBay, you will soon discover that there are lots of sellers who will copy everything you do. They will copy your auction templates, use your exact words – and even steal your pictures.
Even worse, your buyers might be besieged with emails offering them’ deals’ … “Don’t buy her through her auction! We can sell you the same product $5 cheaper.”
If you follow our Auction Leads Machine© methods, nobody
will have a clue about what you are doing! Cool!
