Description

A spinal cord injury often causes permanent changes in strength, sensation, and other body functions below the site of the injury. Dr. Matthias Linke provides an overview of care and treatment for the SCI patient.

Objectives:

  • Outline the demographics of spinal cord injury including age, gender, cause of injury, and degree of injury
  • Illustrate common illnesses and diseases only seen in a spinal cord injured patient
  • Share the treatment of chronic conditions seen in spinal cord injured patients
