We now go into an unusual training drill, which promises you great results.

Developing high pressure Chi Sao with the use of a stick?

Well it is possible and it is certainly a great and very interesting lesson.

The so-called ‘stick theory’ ensures you get a much better and more profound understanding of the ‘centerline theory’ and it teaches you how to keep forward pressure with both arms.

Furthermore, we look at common structural weaknesses and how the stick helps you overcome them and strengthen the weak links commonly found in Chi Sao practice.

Chi Sao pressure training is very important to help your body wake up to ‘real pressure’, which if not trained properly can cause you to fall into bad habits of not applying true Wing Chun fighting principles.
