Description
Do you know how to screen a patient for addiction? Dr. Middleton will demonstrate how to screen a patient and discuss the different types of addiction.
Educational Objectives:
- Evaluate the science and nuance behind the word “addiction”
- Evaluate some of the most important forms of addiction treatment
- Compare the definitions of the word “recovery”, and why variations exist

Donald Middleton, DO is a graduate of the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Board certified in family practice, he completed an internship at Phoenix General Hospital and an internship and residency at Flint Osteopathic Hospital in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Middleton currently practices at The Meadows of Wickenburg, an addiction treatment center. He is a member of the AOMA Board of Trustees representing District 1. Dr. Middleton and his wife, Tracy Middleton, DO, FACOFP, have four children.
