Our course to accompany the book
6 hours of content, 1 video per sutra, Meditation Mp3s and bonus content that you can keep forever.
Our aim with The Sutra Project is to illuminate the teachings while honoring your life’s rhythm. We know that most of you don’t have hours and hours per week to dive into videos and intense study. That’s why we have created this format, without compromising on the integrity and content of this rich and deeply resonant text.
The Recognition Sutras
This text, the Pratyabhijñā-hrdaya, is one of the most powerful and revelatory spiritual masterpieces of world history, and is one of the primary sources for the study and practice of Yoga in general and nondual Tantrik Yoga in particular.
It describes with incredible precision the process by which Universal Consciousness contracts into embodied form (i.e., you), temporarily gets lost in that form and forgets its true nature, then realizes itself once again, and experiences seamless unity with the Whole.
Hareesh (aka Christopher Wallis, M.Phil., Ph.D.) is so far the only scholar-practitioner to accurately translate into English Kshemarāja’s 50-page explanation of his own sūtras.
Most of us have been exposed to ‘bumper sticker’ spirituality—vague, ambiguous statements like “we are all one”, “you create your own reality” or “we are all connected”.
But what do they really mean and how do we experience the reality that these phrases glibly allude to?
Without a deeper understanding of the coherent and comprehensive tradition from which these ideas spring, they can be nothing more than feel-good affirmations, meaningless without a practical foundation.
That is what happens when the Tantrik teachings are translated without knowledge of their wider context. This is why we have created this course.
