Description
Description:
Metaphors activate processes in the limbic system. Since patients tell therapist stories, therapists can use anecdotes to promote clinical goals.
Educational Objectives:
- Describe verbal and conceptual metaphors that can be used therapeutically.
- Given a patient and a therapeutic goal, construct an anecdote that advances adaptive processes within the patient.
